A Way Of Looking At Things, Peter Zumthor

This second year university editorial project allowed me to gain an understanding of editorial design and enhance my knowledge in typography. I developed an insight into the french-fold technique, Japanese stab binding and the simple stitch binding techniques. For my final outcome, I decided to use the french-fold technique.

Our brief was to create an editorial style book based upon the text: 'A Way Of Looking At Things' by Peter Zumthor, 1988. This meant extensive research into the themes and topics discussed throughout the narrative, and exploring ways of visually portraying the messages within. I came to the conclusion that I wanted my design to be focused around the re-occurring theme of music within architecture.
